The story

Not every love story follows a familiar script.

When Angelina Mead King shared her identity publicly, she and her wife, Joey, chose to tell their story on their own terms. The documentary opens a window onto their relationship as they navigate change, public attention and the decision to remain together.

Made for TLC and Discovery, the film centres the couple’s honesty and affection. It treats transition not as spectacle, but as part of a larger story about commitment, acceptance and how two people continue to choose each other.

My role

A personal story,
made for a broad audience.

As executive producer and director, I led the project from an intimate lived experience into a documentary for a regional audience—holding space for nuance while keeping its emotional truth clear.
